Treatment Approach

I take a sensitive approach, informed by an understanding that effective treatment is collaborative.

I do not practice one-size-fits-all psychiatry: psychiatric care must be tailor-made to the individual, with an understanding of how symptoms may affect school or work, social interactions, relationships, family life, behavior, and individual psychology. As a component of treatment, medications are used judiciously and safely.

Medication treatment and psychological understanding are not separate entities in my practice: they are critical parts of the same discussion.
